Ripe Cafe, Dandenongs

Melbourne, Australia can put on a beautiful sunny winter's day when it wants to. This was sketched at the Ripe Cafe in the Dandenong Ranges east of the city. The air here amid the native bushland is always crisp and clean.  This trip was part of an "art trail" outing I went on. A tourist destination, the Dandenong Ranges is dotted with numerous art galleries, cafes and gift shops.

Viola flowers decorated every dish that our group had for lunch. A couple of violas graced my baguette (filled with chicken, brie and cranberry sauce). I wasn't so impressed with the baguette but I sure was with the violas!

The magnificent bare tree outside was too much to resist but there wasn't much time! Colours on the outdoor sketch was added on the bus as we had to make a hasty departure.
